Visual Identity & Branding for a Municipal Development Initiative
How BLK MKT Studios created a new visual identity for a major downtown revitalization initiative, then brought the campaign to life through extensive photography, video production, print, and branded collateral.
About Bridgewater, MA - “Vision to Reality” initiative
The City of Bridgewater, Massachusetts was embarking on a community and economic development initiative focused on revitalizing the heart of its downtown. As part of the effort, they needed a proprietary identity system that could extend beyond the city’s official seal and serve as the visual foundation for the campaign.
Photo & Video Production
After we established the visual identity, we drove awareness of this initiative with photo and video production. We documented the internal briefing among local leaders and developers, as well as the forum that encouraged perspectives from members of the general public.
Logo Development
We began by researching Bridgewater’s history, geography, landmarks, and civic identity, then connected those elements to the goals of the redevelopment project and the future of the town. Early logo explorations drew inspiration from the town square, road patterns, municipal boundaries, and historic landmarks.
The final identity centers on a simple heart placed within an icon inspired by the monument at the center of the town square, with typography wrapping around it to form a circular mark. From there, we expanded the concept into a broader visual system designed to complement the core logo and support the initiative across multiple applications.

Brand Graphics & Collateral
We extended the brand identity into custom posters, rack cards, and printed leave-behind materials supporting the downtown revitalization initiative in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Building on the established visual system, we integrated renderings and illustrations supplied by the project’s architects to showcase the proposed town square. The resulting brand graphics and print collateral brought the redevelopment plans into a cohesive, recognizable campaign, helping the community visualize the future of downtown Bridgewater.
